Leg Up Stables - May 12, 2024
I can't believe that this is now my fifth time shooting seniors at Leg Up Stables, and the third consecutive year shooting this special group session. This is also the second year in a row that Disco has been chosen for these portraits. Whereas last year he was the only Thoroughbred among a group of Paint crosses, this year it was all Thoroughbreds (with the exception of Tallulah).
Alexandra & Peanut & Fedex
Alexandra loves Peanut because of how goofy and playful he is, and it is nice to spend time with him and see him grow. He was 2nd overall in his division for the Leg Up Stables show series. A fun fact about Alexandra is that she loves books about as much as she loves horses. Even at 800 pages, she can finish a good book in about 2 days! She plans to continue her education and go to nursing school.
Sophia & Disco & Tallulah
Disco's nickname is Duck, and Sophia loves his four matching stockings. He helped her get her first blue ribbon of her senior IHSA season. Sophia's favorite memory with Tallulah is doing one of the Leg Up Stables intro events with her. Tallulah has also participated in IHSA shows in divisions from Open all the way down to walk/trot and rocked it! Outside of riding Sophia also enjoys skiing and has worked as a ski instructor since she was 16. She will be starting at the University at Buffalo in the fall to earn her JD and MPH in health services administration.
Erin & Valentino
Valentino "Tino" was a former eventer and fox hunter before finding his way to Leg Up Stables to be a teacher for intermediate to advanced riders. Erin's favorite memory of Tino is jumping him. Erin enjoys spending time in nature and since graduating has been working in marketing.
Emily & Five Star
Emily loves visiting Five Star out in the field, as she will always walk over to look for the treats that Emily always has! A fun fact about Five Star is that she has a double whorl. Emily is currently staying in Western New York after graduation, along with her 4 pound toy Chihuahua that was rescued from Lollipop farm.
